Liberty Is The Goal

Liberty is an ideal that has never been tried. Near misses, sure. And lots of lipservice. But nowhere on the planet has any government or people ever taken the leap and given liberty a full and fair trial.

The fine words of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were a good start. But no words on paper can be anything more than a guide. And a guide not followed is a fantasy, not worth the paper it is written on.

Liberty must exist first in our minds and in our hearts before it can be expressed on paper and have any meaning. We of the Future of Liberty Society hope to explore the concept of liberty and to elucidate ways to bring it about.

We hope to challenge you and draw you in to the battle for liberty. To examine together that tiny kernel of liberty that lives in all of us, and discover how to give it voice, to trust and strengthen it. We will seek together to tame the reflexive call for government answers when our own answers are superior.

Together, we hope to explore the undiscovered country of liberty that exists, no matter how well hidden, within us all.
